how to get autocomplete selected value

Hi All,


In my html page text box having autocomplete = true.
On enter of that text box I m doing some validations.
But while entering the value , that text box will list out already enterd value . if i do enter , related typed value from the autocomplete list should be captured and filled in the text box and should go to the next control.
How to capture that selected value using javascript

You have to show some code samples, there's no way to see where your mistake was made.

Also, no idea what you are referring to when you say 'autocomplete', have to show code snippet from the html of the text box as well.

Please do not post the entire code however, just the relevant parts that deal with this part.
