Water Cooling questions

I have a Cooler Master Aquagate "ALC-U01" Computer Water Cooling System on my comp. I thin kits workign. I guess so since my computer runs fine. My friend installed it. Anyway, the face is defective, meaning the readouts are all weird. Also, I hear the faint sound of tricklign water. Ket me be clear: theres no leak. Im just wondering if sound is normal for these units. Like if there is air in there or something. I know its worth RMAing but I can forsee it being a b##ch to drain, uninstall , and reinstall. Cutting the tubes, etc, seems really hard. Plus I dont like my freidn anymore so Im kind of stuck. Jus thopign I can ride with this thing for a while. Anyone have this expereince?

check the cpu temp first, to make sure it's nice and cool

I've never used one of these water cooling things, but it sounds reasonable that there would be the sound of water trickling.

I'd recommend going to a specialist type hardware forum for this question though, one of the overclocking ones, can't recommend one off the top of my head though, sorry.

Is there any way to check the CPU temp in windows instead of the BIOS?

Also, what IS the good temp range?

most decent motherboards come with a utility, windows only of course, that shows you the current cpu temp, plus other details.

Even most average mobos come with something like this.

So hopefully if you went through the trouble and expense of getting a watercooling system, you also got a decent mobo.

Intel pentiums of recent high speed vintage are very hot, amds are less hot.

Usually I think the system is doing well if mobo temp is about the same as processor temp, about 30 degrees c give or take. That depends on ambient room temperature of course.
