If you're working with Windows these resources may be of use to you:

Technical Resources

• TheElderGeek.com. Windows XP focused site, has forums.
  
• Microsoft-Watch.com. Keep up with the latest MS releases, longhorn etc.
  
• EventID.net. The best way we've found to decipher those incoherent Microsoft Event ID things in the event viewer.
  
• TechNet. You'd think Microsoft's own technet site would be the place to go for MS troubleshooting, but if you're looking for event id resolutions, go to above link, eventid.net
  
• Enterprise Windows News. For network admins mostly. Breaking news on the windows front.
  
• WinSuperSite.com. Don't look for any serious critical thinking here of course...
  

Windows Forums and Blogs

• Anandtech.com OS forums. There's some very good people on these, but watch out for complex solutions to simple problems...
  
• Inside Microsoft. Worth a look.
  

Readings, Whitepapers

• Whitepaper by MS on switching Hotmail from Unix to Windows. Very good read, shows how technically superior Unix was and is for this type of application.
